There are many other important topics (listed at bottom of page) being discussed this Dec 16th meeting (Meeting Agenda) so totally worth still attending, & we can bring up Flock concerns still in public comment. [Note: agenda not posted at the time of writing, should be by Mon]
If anything changes for the agenda and as we learn more, we’ll post here.

Is this a win? Yes! We’re making noise and the city has to do their homework.
We like to assume good-faith, but there is a chance they are hoping our energy will fade [it won’t]! The $9k grant expires in June, but the grant can be used for so many other things.

We’ve noted that this FY budget item at increased form ~10k/yr → ~130k/yr
This is the line item where our current Flock camera subscription lands, but it’s intermingled with other subscriptions.
We have one FOIA ask to Evanston, IL for the cease-and-desist letter with Flock to understand the struggles of removing the cameras. Hopefully we can avoid similar here.
